Overview

In its second year, the Accessible Engagement Project (AEP) will introduce a commission project that invites artist(s) to respond to access challenges through creative practice. This initiative will focus on producing work that can be added to the grunt archive and may create work to be featured in a forthcoming exhibition proposal or during the 2027 symposium. More details will follow as the project develops, but its goals include deepening the conversation around accessibility in art spaces and supporting commissioned artists in showcasing their innovative responses to these challenges. We aim to begin this project in summer 2026.

Eligibility

For our initial call for proposals, we will limit submissions from artists who have previously been engaged as a Tactile or Non-Verbal artist with grunt gallery.
