Disgruntled: Other Art

A compilation of texts written over the past 30 years by curators and artists for grunt gallery, an artist-run centre in Vancouver, BC. Ranging in style from critical essay to storytelling and poetry, these texts describe, discuss and dissect some of the vast number of exhibitions and performances produced at the gallery and available (until now) only in hard-copy publications. Disgruntled is an exciting, eclectic mix of voices from a gallery that has helped to bring contemporary art from outside of the mainstream into the public eye.

Introduction by grunt’s co-founder and programming director, Glenn Alteen.

Dedicated to Garry Ross. Made possible by the generous contributions of grunt’s friends, staff, board members and past exhibiting artists who donated to our 30th anniversary fundraising campaign.
