The physical grunt archives are located at grunt’s facility and are available to the public. They are a hard-copy record of exhibition photos, press releases, promotional materials and other items. grunt’s archives are a valuable resource for grad students, art history students, community members or educators. The physical archives contain the source material that is digitized for our online archives.
Activating the Archives
The Activating the Archives (ATA) project was launched in 2010. The first installment of this project took place from 2010-2011, and represents grunt’s largest digital archives initiative to date. Volunteers, staff, interns, and artists worked to select and digitize material from the archives to create six curated websites and the beginnings of an online database that contextualizes past exhibitions with present-day projects and seeks to provide easy access to past exhibition information online.
ATA is a continuing project, to learn more about current volunteer opportunities or make a research appointment please email email@example.com
